The VFA-14 Tophatters have earned a reputation as one of the most respected strike fighter squadrons in naval aviation. Known as the "Oldest and Boldest," the Tophatters trace their lineage back to 1919, making them the oldest active squadron in the U.S. Navy. Today, VFA-14 flies the F/A-18E Super Hornet as part of Carrier Air Wing 9 and is proudly stationed at NAS Lemoore.
