The Helicopter Sea Combat Squadron (HSC) 5 "Nightdippers" is one of the U.S. Navy's premier expeditionary helicopter squadrons, operating the MH-60S Seahawk in support of aircraft carriers, amphibious forces, and fleet operations around the world. Homeported at Naval Air Station North Island, California, HSC-5 is assigned to Carrier Air Wing Five (CVW-5) and regularly deploys in support of the U.S. Navy's forward-deployed forces in the Indo-Pacific region.
