The Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 70 "Spartans" is one of the U.S. Navy's premier expeditionary helicopter squadrons, operating the MH-60R Seahawk in support of carrier strike groups and maritime operations around the globe. Homeported at Naval Air Station Jacksonville, Florida, HSM-70 is assigned to Carrier Air Wing Seven (CVW-7) and provides advanced anti-submarine warfare, anti-surface warfare, maritime surveillance, search and rescue, and airborne support for the U.S. Navy's Atlantic Fleet.
